Accessibility statement

GateFrames wants every customer to be able to price a gate, place an order and get help — whether they use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, a phone held one-handed, or a display set to large text. This page says what we do about that and how to reach us when something is in your way.

What we aim for

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our working standard. We do not claim full conformance or hold a third-party certification; we treat accessibility as ongoing work that is checked on every release.

What that looks like on the site

  • Keyboard. Every control — the configurator, the cart, checkout, the assistant, the footer navigation — can be reached and operated from the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Screen readers. Pages use real landmarks (one main region, one footer, named navigation), headings in order, labelled form fields, and text alternatives on images and icon buttons.
  • Colour and contrast. Text meets AA contrast in both the light and dark themes, and nothing is communicated by colour alone.
  • Motion. Animated accents respect your system's reduced-motion setting.
  • Large text and small screens. The layout reflows rather than clipping: a 390-pixel phone viewport is part of every automated check, and nothing requires horizontal scrolling.
  • Testing. Automated accessibility checks run against the homepage, the product page and the catalog on every change, on desktop and phone viewports, and fail the release when they find a violation.

Known limitations

The interactive 3D gate preview is a visual tool; every value it shows is also available as text in the configurator, and the price and dimensions never depend on it. Third-party content we embed — payment provider forms, map links, manufacturer PDFs — is controlled by those providers, and we cannot always fix what is in it; tell us and we will find another way to get you the same information.

Tell us when something is in your way

If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, or you cannot complete an order, please tell us and we will help you finish by phone or email and fix the barrier: email info@GateFrames.com, call (408) 260-5145, or send a request. It helps to include the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use.
