Website terms of use
These terms cover your use of gateframes.com and the tools on it — the configurator, your account, the assistant, reviews and everything else on the site. They are written to be read. Buying something is covered separately by the Terms of Sale, and what we do with your information is in the Privacy Policy. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not, please do not use it.
Who we are
The site is operated by GateFrames, a DBA of StandardGates, Inc. ("GateFrames", "we"), 23 Las Colinas Ln #109, San Jose, CA 95119. Questions about these terms go to info@GateFrames.com.
Accounts
You can browse and price gates without an account; an account keeps your carts, orders and conversations together. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, give us accurate contact information so order updates reach you, and tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account. We may close an account that is used to break these terms.
Acceptable use
Use the site to plan, price and buy gates and related products, and to get help with them. Do not use it to do anything unlawful, to interfere with the site or other customers, to scrape or bulk-copy content or prices, to probe or overload our systems, to post content you do not have the right to post, or to impersonate anyone. We rate-limit and block abusive traffic to keep the site working for everyone.
The AI assistant
The gate expert on this site is an AI assistant. It is genuinely useful — it prices gates, explains shipping and installation, checks orders — and it can be wrong. Its answers are information, not a contract, an engineering opinion or a promise about your specific site, and when it is unsure it says so and passes the question to a person. Your order, its price and its terms are what checkout and your order confirmation say, not what the assistant said. Anything you send it (including photos) is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Decisions that depend on local codes, structural loads or safety should be confirmed with a qualified professional.
Your content
When you post a review, a photo, a message or other content, you keep ownership of it and give GateFrames a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it in connection with the site and our products. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. How reviews are collected and screened is on the Review Guidelines page; nothing here restricts an honest review.
Our content
The site's design, text, photographs, drawings, 3D models, software, the GateFrames name and logo, and the configurator's pricing and engineering logic belong to GateFrames or our licensors. You may use the site for its intended purpose and share links to it freely; copying, reselling or building a competing service from it needs our written permission. Manufacturer names and logos on products belong to their owners.
Third-party services and links
Payments are processed by our payment providers under their own terms, and links to manufacturers, maps and other sites lead to services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the site up and accurate, and we do not promise it will be error-free or always available. Prices, products and content can change without notice; an order is governed by the price and terms shown at checkout. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new "updated" date, and continued use after that means you accept the update.
Liability for the site
The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, GateFrames is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site itself — for example from downtime, an error in content, or reliance on information the assistant gave you. This does not limit anything the law does not allow us to limit, and it does not touch the remedies for a product you bought, which are in the Terms of Sale and the warranty.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
