GateFrames :: Review Guidelines

Customer reviews only help you if you can trust them. This page explains exactly how reviews work on GateFrames — how we collect them, how they are screened, and how ratings are calculated.

Who can review

Any signed-in customer can review a product. We invite every purchaser to leave a review — we never pre-screen customers by sentiment or invite only happy ones. Reviews carry a Verified Purchase badge only when our system can tie the review to an actual GateFrames order for that product. We do not publish reviews from GateFrames employees or their immediate family, and we never write, buy, or generate reviews ourselves.

How screening works

Every submission is screened before it appears publicly, usually within 48 hours. Your review is visible to you immediately, marked as pending, while it waits. Screening uses only these content-neutral criteria — a review is withheld only if it is: spam or a suspected fake; wholly unrelated to the product; profane, harassing, abusive, or obscene; contains another person's personal information or likeness; discriminatory; clearly false or misleading; illegal content; or contains trade-secret / confidential information. Star rating is never a screening criterion — critical reviews are published under exactly the same rules as glowing ones.

How ratings are calculated and shown

The star average and rating breakdown on each product page include every published review of that product — nothing is excluded or weighted by sentiment. Reviews are listed newest-first. GateFrames may post a public response to a review; responses are clearly labeled and never alter the review or its rating. We currently do not offer incentives for reviews; if we ever do, the offer will never depend on what the review says, and incentivized reviews will be clearly labeled.
