Support does not stop when the pallet is in your driveway. Here is where to get help with installing the gate, running the opener and finding the paperwork — and the assistant on this page already knows what you ordered.

Installation support

Our gates are designed to be installed by a competent homeowner, handyman or fence contractor. Two people, a level, a drill, a post-hole plan and an afternoon is the normal scale of the job. Before the gate arrives, read the installation guide and the posts and clearance guide — nearly every installation problem we hear about is a post set in the wrong place or a gap that was not planned.

Mid-install, ask the assistant. It has the gate's specifications, can look at a photo of where you are stuck, and hands the question to a person at the factory when it is not sure. For a written answer, email us with your order number and a photo. We build and ship the gate; hanging it is done by you or a contractor of your choice — any fence or gate contractor can install a GateFrames gate, and the professionals page explains what we send them.

Product support

Gate openers, operators, keypads, intercoms and remotes are manufactured by the brands we carry, and each product page lists the manufacturer's documents and warranty. For a fault, start with the manufacturer's troubleshooting steps in the manual; if you are not sure what you are looking at, the assistant can identify the part and walk through the basics — power, limit settings, safety-sensor alignment, remote pairing. Safety first: an automatic gate must have properly installed entrapment protection. If an opener is behaving unpredictably, disconnect its power and use the manual release until it is diagnosed. The gate safety guide explains what UL 325 requires and why.

Manuals, drawings & downloads

Manuals, drawings and spec sheets live with the product they belong to: open the product page and look for its Documents — they open in the site's built-in viewer and can be downloaded from there. For a GateFrames gate that means the swing and slide install guides; for an opener, the manufacturer's installation and owner's manuals are listed on its page. Can't find one?
