The D&D LokkLatch REGULAR S3 is a key-lockable gravity latch for square-post swing gates around the home and garden. Close the gate and it latches; turn the key and it's locked.
Locks with a key
The latch body mounts on the fence post and a striker bolt on the gate. No padlocks or chains on a side, yard or garden gate.
Won't rust or stain
Engineered polymer body with marine-grade stainless steel parts, for metal, wood or vinyl gates, left or right hand.
Adjusts after fitting
Trim it vertically and horizontally once it's mounted, so a gate that settles still latches.

Frequently asked questions
Which LokkLatch is this?
The LokkLatch REGULAR Series 3, latch only (D&D code LL3AL, black), sold by King Metals as 21-LOKK. It locks and opens from the latch side of the gate. King Metals' own text still says Series 2; its item title and D&D's current range are Series 3.
Can I open it from the other side of the gate?
Not with the latch alone. D&D's External Access Button (EAB) adds a push button on the opposite side, linked to the latch by a rod. The latch plus EAB is our 21-LOKK2-SET listing.
Can I use it on a pool gate?
No. D&D rates the LokkLatch REGULAR as a general-purpose, non-safety latch for home and garden gates. Pool barriers need a self-latching safety latch mounted out of a child's reach; D&D's MagnaLatch range is built for that.
What gates and posts does it fit?
Square-to-square swing gates on metal, wood or vinyl, with a minimum post size of 1 in. It works on left- or right-hand gates.
How big a gap between post and gate does it need?
D&D's ideal gap is 3/4 in. The latch adjusts vertically and horizontally after it's mounted, so small misalignment or a gate that settles can be trimmed out.
Are the locks keyed alike?
Yes. King Metals notes that standard LokkLatches are keyed alike, so several latches can share one key. D&D lists the REGULAR lock as non-rekeyable; if you need locks keyed to your house, look at the LokkLatch DELUXE.
Will it rust?
The body is engineered polymer and the working parts are marine-grade stainless steel, so it won't rust or stain. D&D says to lubricate only with powdered graphite, never petroleum-based oil, and to keep sand and debris out.
What tools do I need?

What is the warranty?
D&D Technologies limited lifetime warranty: free of defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser as long as they own it, when installed to D&D's instructions. D&D repairs or replaces at its discretion; misuse, tampering and transit damage are excluded.
Can I get extra keys?
King Metals sells an extra key for the 21-LOKK separately; it is not part of this listing.
