About
The DoorBird A1101 is a wall-mounted video monitor for DoorBird IP intercoms. When someone rings your door station, such as the D2101KV, it shows them live on a 4-inch touchscreen, lets you talk, and opens the gate or door with one button, so nobody has to find a phone.
This listing is the white edition; the black one is identical apart from colour.

Features
Screen
4" IPS capacitive touchscreen, 800 × 480, behind tempered Gorilla glass. Five hardware buttons (open door, favourite, mute, menu, listen/talk) and an RGB status bar.
Audio
Two-way HD audio up to 102 dB with echo cancelling and noise reduction. Indoor stations can call each other, and a SIP phone can be called at a touch.
Door control
Three bistable relays rated 24 V AC/DC at 1 A, plus two storey-call inputs. For tamper-proof release, pair it with the A1081 I/O Door Controller.
Network
PoE, a 4-wire network cable, or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. DoorBird recommends a cable for stability.
Mounting
Surface-mounts on the included bracket at about 63 in (160 cm). It is IP50, for indoor use only.
Warranty
24 months from purchase (12 months for LCD backlighting). Use only DoorBird power supplies: a third-party supply voids the warranty.
How it compares
| Model | Screen, audio | Relays |
|---|---|---|
| A1101 | 4" touch, 2-way | 3, 24 V / 1 A |
| A1081 | None | 3, 24 V / 1 A |
Both have two inputs: storey-call inputs on the A1101, sensor inputs on the A1081. Choose the A1101 to answer calls on a screen; the A1081 only switches relays, from a cabinet. The data sheet, installation manual, user guide and warranty terms are in Documents below.

Frequently asked questions
Does the A1101 work with the DoorBird D2101KV?
Yes. DoorBird lists the A1101 as compatible with any DoorBird IP video door station, including the D2101KV. You add it in the door station's settings under Peripherals.
How big is the screen?
It's a 4-inch IPS touchscreen at 800 × 480, with capacitive touch behind tempered Gorilla glass.
What's included?
The station, a wall-mounting bracket, a 15 V DC power supply with US, EU, UK and AU plug adapters, an RJ45 adapter, screw-terminal plugs and small parts, a quick-start guide and the installation manual. The A8003 table stand in some photos is sold separately.
Can it be powered by PoE?
Yes. It takes PoE from a switch or injector that supports IEEE 802.3af Mode A; it won't start on one that doesn't. Don't use PoE and the power supply at the same time.
Does it support Wi-Fi?
Yes, 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n only (no 5 GHz). DoorBird recommends a network cable where you can run one, for stability.
How many indoor stations or phones can ring at once?
DoorBird says up to eight mobile devices or indoor stations per call button can open the live view in parallel.
Can indoor stations call each other?
Yes. All A1101 stations on the system can call each other, and a SIP phone, such as a concierge desk, can be called at the touch of a button.
How does it open a gate or door?
Press the open-door button to trigger the door station's relay. The A1101 also has three bistable relays of its own, rated 24 V AC/DC at 1 A. They don't power the lock, which needs its own supply. For tamper-proof release, DoorBird suggests the A1081 I/O Door Controller.
Are there monthly fees?
No. Remote access and the free event history (the last 50 visitor and motion events) are free. Cloud Recording Pro is an optional paid extra.
How is it mounted? Does it fit a US electrical box?
It surface-mounts on the included bracket, screwed to the wall. DoorBird says the bracket fits a standard 68 mm European hollow-wall box but doesn't state US single-gang box compatibility. The optional A8003 stand lets it sit on a desk.
What's the difference between the black and white A1101?
Only the colour of the polycarbonate housing and the product code. DoorBird's data sheets for the two are otherwise identical.
What warranty does it have?
DoorBird gives 24 months from the original purchase date, and 12 months on LCD backlighting. It is void if the station is powered by a supply that didn't come from DoorBird.
