The DoorBird protective hood shelters a surface-mounted D2101KV from above and on both sides, in the same brushed V4A stainless steel as DoorBird's surface housing. It suits exposed gate pillars and walls with no porch roof overhead.

Installation notes
- The hood's back panel has a Ø31 mm cable hole and fixing holes that match the surface housing's pattern.
- The hood shelters the station from rain and overhead sun, but DoorBird still advises keeping the camera out of direct sunlight: sun damage isn't covered by the warranty.
- Clean the stainless with water and a soft cloth; avoid steel wool, bleach and chloride cleaners.

Does the hood work with a flush-mounted station?
No. DoorBird says the hood requires the surface-mount housing, so it only fits surface installs.
Which DoorBird door stations does it fit?
DoorBird says it fits only these IP video door stations: D2101KV, D2102FV Fingerprint 50, D2102FV EKEY, D2101FV EKEY sLine, D2102FV EKEY sLine, D2201KV, D2202FV Fingerprint 50, D2201FV EKEY sLine and D2202FV EKEY sLine. It does not fit the D2101V or D2201V, which use different housings.
Does it include the surface housing or the intercom?
No. The hood, the surface-mount housing and the door station are separate products. You need all three for a hooded install.
What is it made of?
Brushed V4A stainless steel (grade 1.4404 on DoorBird's drawing), which DoorBird calls salt-water and grinding-dust resistant, matching the surface housing.
How big is it?
358.5 × 136 mm (14.11 × 5.35 in), 72.5 mm (2.85 in) deep at the top, tapering to 59.5 mm (2.34 in) at the bottom.
Does it stop sun damage to the camera?
It shades the station from overhead sun and rain, but DoorBird still advises against mounting where direct sunlight hits the camera: sun damage to the image sensor isn't covered by the warranty.
What warranty does it have?
DoorBird gives 24 months from the original purchase date.
