About
The All-O-Matic SL-45DC PRO is the smallest of All-O-Matic's DC slide gate openers, sized for home driveways with gates up to 800 lb or 30 ft. It shares the ALL-BLDC PRO control board of its bigger siblings, with two backup batteries to keep it running through outages.
UL 325 Class I–II24V DC brushlessSolar-ready5-yr residential warranty
A 24V DC brushless motor on a planetary gearbox moves the gate, and the PRO board adds an LCD menu, a 7-day timer and wireless pairing for bi-parting gates.

Power and control
Power outages
About 250 cycles on a 600 lb gate. Choose fail-safe (open before the battery runs out) or fail-secure (stay closed), or auto-open about 40 seconds after a power loss for fire access.
Solar
A built-in MPPT charger takes a 24V panel from 40 to 80 W. All-O-Matic estimates about 20 cycles a day with two 14Ah batteries, a receiver and two sensors. Panels and larger batteries aren't included.
No 120 V outlet
Unlike larger All-O-Matic operators, the SL-45DC PRO has no accessory outlet, so a magnetic lock's transformer needs its own power.
PRO control board
LCD menu for force, auto-close, partial open and diagnostics, plus a USB port for firmware updates. 7-day timer, cycle counter, two programmable auxiliary inputs and a relay.
Bi-parting gates
Wireless primary/secondary pairing, with no trench between the posts. 12V and 24V accessory power (750 mA each) runs detectors and keypads.
Phone control
No built-in Wi-Fi: phone control needs an add-on controller such as the Nexx NXG-200.

The SL-90DC PRO adds a ½ HP motor, a foot-pedal release and a 5-year commercial warranty.
Installation
All-O-Matic sells through professional gate dealers, and the job involves a concrete pad, a welded chain bracket and a 20 A circuit in conduit. The manual shows front- and rear-mount layouts. The brochure, manual and parts drawing are in Documents below.

Frequently asked questions
How heavy and long a gate can the SL-45DC PRO move?
Slide gates up to 800 lb and 30 ft long. For heavier or longer gates, the SL-90DC PRO is rated to 1,600 lb and 50 ft.
Is it rated for commercial use?
It is listed for UL 325 Class I (homes) and Class II (commercial sites open to the public, such as an apartment entrance) only, and the warranty is 5 years residential with no commercial term. For Classes III–IV, industrial sites or a commercial warranty, choose the SL-90DC PRO.
What happens when the power goes out?
Two 12V 7Ah batteries are included. All-O-Matic rates them at about 250 cycles on a 600 lb gate. A DIP switch picks fail-safe (the gate opens before the battery runs flat) or fail-secure (it stays closed), and an AUTO OPEN setting opens the gate about 40 seconds after a power loss for fire-department access.
How do I open the gate by hand?
Remove the cover, turn the AC and DC switches off and push the gate open. The planetary gearbox can be back-driven, so the SL-45DC PRO has no foot-pedal release; the pedal is on the SL-90DC and larger models.
Can it run on solar?
Yes. The board has a solar input with an MPPT regulator for a 24V panel of at least 40 W and up to 80 W. With two 14Ah batteries, a receiver and two monitored sensors, All-O-Matic estimates about 20 cycles a day. The panel and larger batteries are not included, and above 80 W you need an external charge controller.
What power does it need?
115 V (2 A) or 230 V (1 A) single phase, selected with a switch. All-O-Matic calls for a dedicated 20 A circuit in conduit and an earth ground rod.
What comes in the box?
The operator with the ALL-BLDC PRO board, two 7Ah batteries, 20 ft of #41 chain with the chain bracket, one AOM Red Eye photo eye and padlock tabs for the cover.
Does it include safety sensors?
One AOM Red Eye photo eye is included. UL 325 requires monitored protection for every entrapment zone and the operator won't run automatically without it, so most driveways need a second eye or an edge. The board takes normally-closed or 10K-terminated devices from most brands.
Are remotes included?
No. There is no built-in receiver, so you add an external 3- or 4-wire receiver and remotes, or a keypad, wired to the board.
Can it run a bi-parting (dual) slide gate?
Yes. Two SL-45DC PRO operators pair wirelessly as primary and secondary through the PRO board, so you don't trench a cable between the posts.
Can I control it from my phone?
Not out of the box. The board has no Wi-Fi, so phone control needs an add-on controller wired to its inputs. All-O-Matic's channel shows the Nexx NXG-200 (video above).
Can I lock the operator cover?
Yes. Padlock tabs come in the hardware bag and replace a cover bolt so you can padlock the cover. On the SL-90DC and larger models the lock kit is sold separately.
Can I add a magnetic or solenoid gate lock?
Yes. The board has a lock relay with maglock and solenoid terminals. The SL-45DC PRO has no 120 V accessory outlet, though, so the lock's transformer needs its own power.
How fast does it open?
Up to 12 inches per second, so a 16 ft opening clears in under 20 seconds. The brochure lists speed as adjustable through the LCD menu.
Will it work in extreme weather?
All-O-Matic rates it from −40° to 160°F. Batteries lose capacity in the cold, so size up the batteries at cold solar sites.
Can it be mounted in front of or behind the gate?
Yes. The manual shows front-mount and rear-mount layouts on a concrete pad, including how the chain attaches to the gate.
What is the warranty?
5 years residential on circuitry, motor, gearbox and workmanship, if the registration card is mailed within 30 days of purchase; otherwise 1 year on parts. Labor and shipping to and from the factory are the owner's cost.
SL-45DC PRO or SL-90DC PRO?
The SL-45DC PRO is smaller (11 × 14.5 × 15.5 in, 60 lb shipped) and handles 800 lb / 30 ft, with UL Classes I–II, a push-open release and a 5-year residential warranty. The SL-90DC PRO handles 1,600 lb / 50 ft with a ½ HP motor, a foot-pedal release, Classes I–IV and 7 years residential / 5 years commercial.
SL-45DC PRO or LiftMaster RSL12UL?
Both handle 800 lb gates. The RSL12UL goes to 25 ft and has a Security+ 2.0 receiver and myQ support built in; the SL-45DC PRO goes to 30 ft, ships with two batteries instead of one, and needs an external receiver for remotes.
